operation spanned from Jewish-entrenched New York to the Jewish state of Israel.
The FBI used an informant, a Talmudic Jew named Solomon Dwek, to approach the rabbis — who were from the Syrian Jewish community in Brooklyn NY and Deal NJ — to help hide his assets.
Rabbi Nahum told Dwek that he should spread his money through a number of rabbis.
I also read somewhere that if you sleep with mascara on your lashes they are 70% more likely to fall out so as far as I’m concerned, maintaining real lashes that aren’t quite as plump as they can be is ten times more compelling than having none at all. I have accepted the reflection that reliably bounces back at me for its perks and its flaws.
More important than that though, I am comfortable with how I look. I understand that there are thick, dark circles under my eyes. I have noticed that my nose grows a little hookier on a near-monthly basis. I know there are wrinkles ready to stake their claim as full time residents on my forehead any moment now. My eyes will never be blue, my bone structure will never allow for you to mistake me for a Scandinavian model.
Over the course of two years, Dwek arranged to buy a kidney from the rabbis and hid million in assets from creditors through the rabbis’ tax-exempt charitable organizations — all with the blessing of the FBI.
Saying he needed to hide his assets so “he could live,” Dwek convinced the rabbis to accept payments made out to various charities they oversaw.
If you read this site you know by now that Man Repelling is an attitude. It is not whether you do your hair or curl your lashes, or even what you wear. Why you do those things, and perhaps most importantly, it is a love letter to individuality, which is something that manifests itself in plentifully different ways.
